Upcycling is the latest trend in fashion and jewellery. Consumers have realised the need to buy responsible products. Concerning France and according to Yougov Institute<\/a>, demand for recycled clothing has risen by 117% year-on-year. At the same time, more than 1 in 2 French people intend to buy an upcycled product in the coming months (55%). Young people aged 18-34 are at the forefront of this trend, with 65% ready to make a purchase of this kind in the near future. Brands that have not begun their transition to sustainable fashion risk suffering an image problem in the coming years. In the fashion industry, studies show that reusing clothes saves between 90 and 95% of the energy needed to create new items. Today, the jewellery sector is also developing solutions to improve traceability and reduce the environmental impact of extracting and refining precious metals and stones.
